    Gear Crushers ATV-UTV Community

    By wildweaselmi

So many pro's to hit trails with a ATV or UTV or SxS versus your vehicle.  Why?  One of the biggest reasons is many people drive the vehicle they are off-roading and when that breaks you have no way home and costs start piling up.  With a ATV or UTV or SxS you trailer it to your destination, beat it up and/or do whatever and even if it happens to break, you can get it back to the trailer and you still have a ride home. I've owned many of the top brands in ATV, UTV and SxS and I have my pers

    Gear Crushers Street Scene

    By wildweaselmi

What is the street scene?  It's focusing on muscle cars, low riders, Dairy Queeners (offroad looking trucks that don't drive even on dirt roads), drag racing, circle tracks and more.  You probably get the gist.  The street community is all about beauty on the asphalt. Personally I've always been a huge muscle car fan.  Went through my phases of owning several classic muscle cars.  Here you can share your projects or builds.  Talk in the garage and maybe help someone out if they have questio

Homemade Alfredo Sauce

I love food and what I like even more is homemade food without all the extra stuff they add to the jars, cans, packages to make the food last longer.  If you look at my cart you'll see I have just about everything organic (without all the extra chemicals) that the FDA says is fine for human consumption. NOW let's talk Alfredo sauce which works so well with so many different dishes.  This sauce should turn out rich, creamy and packed with garlic parmesan flavor! So what do you need?

Quick Pan Cooked Chicken Breasts

Sometimes I just don't have the time to cook dinner but you can only eat so much pizza.  This is a pretty quick dinner to put together. Ingredients: 4 boneless chicken breast halves with skin salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (thyme, parsley, rosemary) (optional) 2 tablespoons olive oil ¼ cup apple cider vinegar 4 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small pieces 1 tablespoon chicken broth (or water)

Oven Baked Chicken Wings

Now I prefer to cook my wings on the grill but sometimes ice or snow or freezing temps have be locked inside so this recipe still gets me some decent wings. I love some crispy chicken wings but the grease goes straight to my beer belly. Here is a way to keep that grease outta the meal Ingredients: Chicken Wings in Oven 4 lbs chicken wings 1 tbsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 2 tsp garlic powder 1 pinch black pepper Buffalo Sauce 1/4

Ingredients: 3 pounds  chicken wings 6 tablespoons butter 1/2 cup hot sauce 1 teaspoon salt Optional Additional Ingredients: Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing, to serve Celery sticks, to serve Equipment Recommended: Chef's knife or kitc

Smoked Turkey in the BGE

Some delicious, juicy smoked turkey that we have been doing for years.  We barely have left overs even when I cook two turkeys on the BGE. Ingredients: 1 Turkey (Recommendation, use 2 small 12-14lb turkey's instead of one big 20+lb turkey. You get a more even cook and meat is juicer.  No need to spend the extra money on a butterball.  The brine makes any turkey very juicy.) Green Bean Casserole (Paula Deans)

Green Bean Casserole is either a homer or a foul ball.  It reminds me of coleslaw where you can do something the right way or it could be disgusting.  This recipe is really good to some and others a foul ball but those that didn't care for it admitted they really don't like green bean casseroles so not sure if there rating should even count. Ingredients: 1/3 stick butter 1/2 cup diced onions 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms 3 cups chicken broth 1 (10 3/4-ou

Smoke Salmon in BGE XL

I love me some smoked salmon. I found this recipe really hits the mark and then some. Totally not disappointed and hope you aren't either. The taste of this smoked salmon melts in your mouth like candy. DELICIOUS I found that getting the grill to stabilize around 150 degrees Fahrenheit is really the hardest part of this recipe.  You can get a Big Green Egg to get hot and hold the temp but to get it to cool down is very difficult.  If the grill gets too hot then you cook out a lot of the f

Chicken on Cream of Mushroom Soup and Rice

    • By far, the best smoked salmon recipe I have tried.
    • I followed this recipe for our turkey this year and some of the pickest eaters said this was the best turkey "THEY EVER HAD" I will be using this recipe next year for sure.  It was VERY VERY delicious. I used Apple wood chunks I stuck in the corners of the BGE that would smolder eventually and I cooked at 275 for about 4 hours.  Every hour I sprayed with Canola Oil to help keep that skin crispy.  I used the Killer Hogs A.P. seasoning and Zataranns Creole Seasoning instead of following
    • Thanksgiving I smoked two 14lb turkeys following this recipe with Cherry wood and everyone loved it.  This is my Thanksgiving Turkey recipe every year which is why I'm following this recipe so I don't loose it. Had a beautiful smoke ring on Turkey when cut into it. Awesome! BGE pre-warmed to 300 as instructed (you said 275-300 so figured with two I should take the warmer side of 300) As your recipe suggested, I then got the turkeys ready with a good wash to get rid of the br

Stir in milk. Dip bread in egg mixture, turning to coat both sides evenly. Cook bread slices on lightly greased nonstick griddle or skillet on mediu
    • If you forgot to get heavy whipping cream Heavy Whipping Cream Substitute Ingredients ⅓ cup butter approx. 5 TBSP ⅔ cup whole milk Instructions Melt butter in a saucepan then add the milk and stir over medium low heat until combined. (You can also use the microwave and melt butter, heat up milk for 20 seconds and combine) Use in place of 1 cup heavy whipping cream in your recipe.
