*Editor’s Note: Ryan Lockhart is busy this week with the Chilliwack AX, so we asked Intermediate rider Ayrton Pomeroy to handle this week’s 3 Qs.

Cole Thompson and the Lawrence Brothers are racing this weekend in Melbourne.

MXP: Hey Ayrton! With Newf being busy running the AMO AX Series again this weekend, you are here to fill his very large shoes. The first question is about the off-season. There have been some great off-season races so far, and perhaps the biggest one is this weekend in Australia. Which one is your favourite to watch?

AP: Watching the Paris Supercross is always really interesting. If I’m being honest, though, I enjoyed it a lot more when Dylan [Wright] or any Canadian was racing it. The last round of AusX Supercross is always interesting, given the level of talent. We have Cole Thompson racing this weekend and the Lawrence Brothers, so that makes things even better.

Eli Tomac is on a roll and Ayrton feels like he has a shot to win the 2025 450SX Monster Energy SX title.

MXP: We’ve seen a great resurgence in recent months by Eli Tomac. In your opinion, can Tomac win the 2025 Monster Energy Supercross Series?

AP: I think Eli Tomac can win the 2025 450SX Monster Energy Supercross. He still has the raw speed to win, maybe not so much the precision/smoothness that Jett has, and that will hurt him a little bit. But I think he can win absolutely. The 450SX class will be fun to watch again in 2025.

Ayrton is asking Santa for another day of riding at the Farm Dade City with his buddy Josh Bryan!

MXP: Okay, here is a fun question to end the week. If you could go and ride one track for a day, with one person, and have your favourite ride day lunch, what would those three things be? Oh, and what song would you listen to on the way to the track?

AP: If I could ride one track for a day, it would probably be The Farm Dade City in Florida with Joshua Bryan. For lunch, I’d have a nice steak sub from Subway. Those three things seem to be a good recipe for success for me. Also, as far as my pre-ride song goes, it would be “The Spins” by Mac Miller.
