The Aliner Evolution LG is Low Profile and Family Friendly

Five years ago, we spotted a low-profile A-frame camper at the North West Overland Rally that seemed an excellent option for long-term traveling. It boasted space and comfort for the whole family while maintaining a compact footprint and a low profile for efficient towing. Do we regret not investing in it? No, as that version was not quite robust enough for our needs, the Evolution LG seems better suited to our style of travel. This camper is designed to meet the needs of adventurers seeking both durability and comfort in their travels.

The Evolution LG’s interior is quirky, like an A-frame cabin with a stark laboratory interior, and designed to accommodate up to four adults, featuring a 60 x 80-inch queen bed and an additional 40 x 80-inch bed. The Evolution LG features a robust 16,000 BTU furnace, ensuring warmth in various climates. Its keyless entry system enhances security and convenience, while the on-demand water heater provides immediate access to hot water, a valuable feature for extended trips. The interior includes a concealed 32 x 32-inch shower and a swivel cassette toilet, offering essential facilities for users. The camper carries up to 35 gallons of freshwater storage, catering to longer journeys. So we know the family is going to be comfortable, but is this camper up to the challenge of life on the road? On paper, yes.

Constructed with aluminum-framed cabinetry and furniture, the Evolution LG utilizes Simona Boatboard panels, which are known for their durability and resistance to environmental factors. The interior walls and ceiling are made from Azdel lightweight composite panels, contributing to the camper’s overall weight reduction without compromising structural integrity. The exterior showcases slate gray fiberglass and black anodized aluminum extrusion.

For off-road enthusiasts, the Evolution LG is equipped with 15-inch off-road wheels paired with radial tires, enhancing its capability to navigate diverse terrains. The inclusion of a Sunflare 185-watt solar panel, managed by a Victron charge controller, supports sustainable energy use, allowing for extended off-grid experiences. Additional features such as larger 12 x 36-inch baggage doors and a bike rack receiver on the rear bumper add to the camper’s practicality.

Aliner’s design philosophy emphasizes user-friendly features. The Evolution LG is compact enough to fit in a standard home garage, facilitating storage. Its lightweight design allows for easy maneuverability, even by a single person, and compatibility with average-sized cars broadens its accessibility. The camper’s setup process is streamlined, enabling users to prepare for camping quickly.

While Aliner’s official website does not list a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) for the Evolution LG, various dealerships offer this model at prices ranging from approximately $35,990 to $44,561, depending on features and configurations.
