This LEGO Big Big Block Chevy Has A Working Four Speed Transmission On It!

LEGO kits are some of the most popular toys around the world and their sales go through the roof around Christmas time. Our kids got them and we’re guessing many of you had kiddos out there that were greeted with LEGO stuff under the tree. As impressive and cool as the kits and planned builds are, the stuff that LEGO ninja-level enthusiasts dream up will totally blow your mind. Take this engine and transmission for example.

You are looking at a V8 that was built to resemble a blown big block Chevy. It even has a simulated chain driven blower. From the sounds of it, this thing actually has some sort of rotating assembly inside the block. While the spinning engine is cool, the four speed manual transmission behind it is really awesome. You can see the guy shift through the gears and the output speed is demonstrated with a spinning wheel.

We know that there are some really hardcore LEGO project out there like those in the company’s Technic line. Those babies go for a couple hundred bucks. We’re not sure if this was built from one of those or the fertile mind of a LEGO enthusiast. We dig it!
