WATCH THE 2024 SUPERCROSS FINALS: FOUR AMA CHAMPIONSHIPS DECIDED & ONE ICON RETIRES

Jett Lawrence came into the final round of the 2024 AMA Supercross Championship with a big points lead and played it safe in the main event—finishing sixth, which was more than good enough to clinch the 2024 AMA 450 Supercross crown.

Two-time 250 World Champion Tom Vialle arrived in Salt Lake City with a big enough points lead in the 250 East to take it easy, but he took it too easy in his heat race and just barely made the 250 East/West Showdown main event. Vialle had to stay in the top 11 of the East/West main event to clinch the 250 East crown. His eighth was more than good enough.

In the 250 West all eyes were on Levi Kitchen and R.J. Hampshire, but that promised epic showdown was over once Levi got a bad start and spent the whole East/West event battling through traffic as R.J. clinched the 250 West by 5 points. For R.J. it was the icing on the cake of a ten-year stay in the 250 Supercross class.

Haiden Deegan would win the 250 East/West Showdown, but no one ever remembers who won the season ending East/West race, but they do remember who won the 250 East and 250 West Championships. Haiden lost the 250 East by 4 points to Tom Vialle

Adam Cianciarulo will not be racing the 2024 AMA 450 Nationals, Salt Lake was his last official AMA race.

Of course everyone hoped that Adam Cianciarulo would grab the holeshot and get to lead the final 450 Supercross of his career, but it was not to be. In another side note: Dean Wilson announced that Salt Lake City would be his last-ever AMA Supercross as he will focus in the future on the WSX and Australian titles.

This is the Salt Lake City 450 podium: Cooper Webb, Chase Sexton & Justin Cooper.
