Alcona ORV Trail

ORV Trail, sandy and flat to slightly rolling with a few harder pack and rocky sections. Linear Trail (no loops). Mostly shared snowmobile trail (wide) covered with grass from little use. Additional Trail & Road sections opened in 2015 to connect Glennie and Kings Corner. New trail sections added in 2017 to connect to Old State House system. Connects to Bull Gap & Old Stat House systems. Modern staging area on M-65.

Ambrose Lake ORV Trail

“ORV Trail, shorter but connects to other systems via ORV trail. Generally sandy, flat & open. Directly connects with Ambrose Lake State Forest Campground. Modern staging area near campground.”

“This is a small stacked loop system offering 7 miles of trail adjacent to Ambrose Lake ORV Campground with 19 campsites. The trail is fairly level with minimal elevation changes with pine and oak tree cover and sand trail base.Additional riding opportunities are available for longer rides utilizing connectors to the south to Ogemaw Hills (18 miles) and north to Rose City (19 miles). The trail is located East of Rose City and North of West Branch in Ogemaw County. “
