Earlier today, Tyler Gibbs announced he is now a member of the prestigious Blu Cru after signing a deal with the S.A.R Dealership in Manitoba. This new partnership will see Gibbs race the entire Manitoba Provincial Series and selected rounds of the 2024 Triple Crown Series. Tyler is currently living in Manitoba while he heals up from a broken collarbone suffered several weeks ago. With three and half weeks until the opening round of the Manitoba Provincial, Tyler will take a couple more weeks off riding to ensure he’s all healed. We caught up with Tyler while he worked on his brand-new blue bikes at home.

“I’m very excited that we were finally able to get this deal done. I can’t thank Brandon from S.A.R Yamaha enough, as well as Justin and Randy from Yamaha Motor Canada. I’m looking forward to racing the Provincial Series here in Manitoba, as the tracks are all pretty good. This deal will also allow me to race several rounds of the Triple Crown Series, which should be fun. Even though I’ve been off the bike for a few weeks with my collarbone injury, I’ve been training a lot, so when I get back on the bike, I should be good to go. I rode the new generation YZ450F for a few days last year and liked it. This new YZ doesn’t need a lot of extra items to be competitive in the 450 class, so I’m excited to get it on the track and go racing.
