Yamaha is the last major manufacturer missing out on the “factory edition” market, however, they’re also the only brand offering an OEM-developed aftermarket engine kit. The GYTR Performance ported head kit retails for $2299.99, and it comes fully assembled and ready to bolt onto your YZ250F’s bottom end. It doesn’t come with a piston, but for an extra $259.99, you can get the GYTR high-compression piston kit. In this video, MXA’s Brian Medeiros and Josh Mosiman share what it’s like to test a “Factory Edition” version of a 2025 Yamaha YZ250F.
