DIRT EXPO: THE LATEST OFF-ROAD PRODUCTS FOR 2024

DIRT EXPO – Arizona is a hotbed for aftermarket off-road powersports manufacturers

By the staff of Dirt Wheels

It’s no secret that aftermarket powersports companies dominate the Southwest, and more and more companies are calling Arizona home. Throughout the year, Arizona hosts several off-road consumer shows that allow vendors to show off and sell their latest products. One of the largest shows is Dirt Expo, which is held annually in Scottsdale during December, and again in Lake Havasu during February. We recently attended the Scottsdale Dirt Expo, and here’s just a tiny taste of the latest products available for ATV and side-by-side enthusiasts.

Triple X Seats stands for “Xtreme Safety, Xtreme Comfort and Xtreme Style” for Can-Am, Polaris, Yamaha, Honda and Kawasaki side-by-sides, as well as other off-road vehicles. Styles and color options are virtually unlimited, and you can get custom options, like headrest logo embroidery, material upgrades, front and rear pockets, heaters, and integrated speakers to go with your sound system. For a complete list of options, colors and pricing, go to www.triplexseats.com.

Of all the vehicles we spotted at Dirt Expo in Phoenix, Arizona, nothing showcased more products than this Polaris Xpedition ADV build from SDR Motorsports. Equipped with aftermarket suspension, a Valor 35-inch tire and wheel package, a roof rack, electronic gadgetry, and storage options galore, this build would cost over $70,000 to duplicate. Be sure to check out our detailed video of this machine at www.dirtwheelsmag.com.

Midnight Rally Club has three versions of its Stage One helmet that are perfect for side-by-side owners. The Stage One NX helmet is a standard helmet with optimized ventilation, a two-stage dust curtain, lightweight construction and a quick-release chin strap for $149.95. The Stage One forced-air helmet has a clean-air intake mounted to the top of the helmet for $199.95. The Stage One SD (pictured) is a forced-air helmet with an air inlet mounted to the side for shorter clearance in side-by-sides and low-profile aftermarket cages priced at $229.95. All three helmets are comms-compatible and come in sizes ranging from XS to 3X. Get more info at www.midnightrallyclub.com.

Black Ops Machine, makers of side-by-side wheel spacers, ball joints, and various other products, now have “button mounts” for the Polaris Pro R and Turbo R models. These mounts allow you to upgrade your stock steering wheel without giving up the electronic features integrated into the stock unit. The mounts are made from high-grade 6061-T6 billet aluminum, can be installed in the top or lower quadrant of the steering wheel, and are sold in pairs, which allows installation of all switches for $49.95. For more information, visit www.blackopsmachine.com or call (480) 900-9991.

SDR Motorsports’ new Polaris Xpedition X-Plorer Series front bumper and skid plate are more functional upgrades from stock. They also look stylishly mean with a perfect fit and finish. The bumper design features a stout steel bulkhead that allows mounting your factory or aftermarket winch and comes equipped with an aluminum fairlead. The two-piece bumper shell is made entirely of aluminum to keep the weight down without sacrificing protection. The lower half of the bumper features a pre-runner-style skid plate with grills that can be color-matched. Pricing begins at $849.99. SDR can also add Triple-R lighting to your bumper for additional cost. For more information, visit www.sdrmotorsports.com or call (800) 277-2280.

DKZ Off-Road designs several foam kits to cover the interior of your side-by-side. The adhesive product adds insulation, is softer on the elbows and knees than rigid plastic panels, and comes in various colors and styles, including camouflage. This product also helps eliminate pesky door rattles and provides a non-slip surface in your cargo space. Dash or console kits start at $159, or get the complete four-seat Elite Kit starting at $1,089. For more information, go to www.dkzoffroad.com or call (801) 660-5435

Archangel Tactical makes several first-aid trauma kits and backpacks in various sizes that are perfect for ATV and UTV use. This is a must-have product for anyone who loves to leave civilization behind. The packs come in multiple colors and include various bandages, gauze pads, chest seals, tourniquets, pressure bandages, alcohol wipes, suture kits and more. Archangel also sells a la carte, so restocking your kit after use isn’t a problem. Trauma kits run from $150 to $650. For more information, visit www.archangeltactical.com or call (657) 527-6918.

Valor Off-Road hit the side-by-side scene at full speed and hasn’t let up with a variety of wheels and tires for side-by-sides, including beadlock wheel choices for the new six-lug Can-Am Maverick R. Valor also makes the universal dual-drilled wheel with both 4×137 and 4×156 bolt patterns, so you can use the same wheels and tires on a variety of machines and have a one-size-fits-most spare. Valor also makes its own Alpha UTV tire in the USA in 32-inch and 35-inch sizes, starting at $329. Wheels begin at $115. Complete wheel and tire packages are also available. For more information, visit www.valoroffroad.com or call (602) 935-0009.

SDI E-CLIK suspension uses 12 electronic inputs from numerous sensors to adjust each shock independently and automatically up to 250 times a second. It makes adjustments based on speed, cornering, terrain, roll, throttle and more. A touchscreen controller also lets the driver select from three modes. Cloud mode is for slower technical terrain, such as rock crawling; Dune mode stiffens up the suspension when encountering sharp transitions and G-outs; and Race mode is for high-speed action on varying terrain. Complete systems begin at $3,599 for Can-Am and Polaris models. Additional brand applications are coming soon. For more information, go to www.eclikshocks.com or call (714) 464 2050

We spotted these two products in the back of a Polaris Xpedition at Dirt Expo. The 41-quart/38-liter portable Blizzard Box cooler lets you skip the ice with electronic cooling as low as 0 degrees Fahrenheit. It can handle as many as fifty-four 12-ounce cans, and you can power phones and accessories with the built-in USB port. The Blizzard Box is available from various online retailers for $899.

Milwaukee Packout Modular Storage Systems are a great way to store tools, parts, and other small items securely in the side-by-side cargo area. Modular connectivity allows for customization. Milwaukee Packout boxes come in various sizes and are available at your local hardware store or online, starting at around $50. For additional information, go to www.milwaukeetool.com.

In addition to Can-Am and Polaris side-by-side models, Black Ops Machine now offers heavy-duty upper and lower ball joints for the Honda Talon. The housing, support cup and studs are made from 4340 chromoly and 300m steel. The dust boots are made from CR/neoprene, and the adjustment plate cap is 6061 aluminum. The ball joints are fully adjustable and rebuildable, allowing them to be fully disassembled, cleaned and re-greased with a Zerk fitting. Upper and lower ball joints are sold separately for $89.95, but replacing all ball joints at the same time is recommended. For more information, visit www.blackopsmachine.com or call (480) 900-9991.

LED Performance Machines is all about ATV performance upgrades with engine kits, intakes and more. They also build custom exhaust systems for various two-stroke sport ATCs and ATVs tuned for dunes, MX, off-road, TT and drag racing applications. You can get a plated finish, but we prefer the look of the raw finish seen here. Prices vary between different models and applications, starting around $695. Need a trick head pipe for your two-stroke competition chainsaw? They’ve got those for $599.95. For more information, go to www.ledperformanceengines.com or call (503) 522-2465
